The Rt Rev Dr Yassir Eric, born in Sudan, was radicalized as a young Muslim and hostile to Christianity until, in his own words, “a miraculous healing he witnessed at 19 led him to Christ”. His conversion brought rejection, imprisonment, and a symbolic funeral by his family, yet he was discipled by a Swedish missionary and grew in faith.

Yassir later ministered in Kenya and Germany, and now serves as Presiding Bishop of the Muslim Background Believers (MBB) Ecclesia in the Global Anglican Church, consecrated bishop by primates for this work. A former leader in Communio Messianica, he continues to champion a growing movement of converts from Islam despite persecution—a testimony to God’s grace and blessing.
